Info: Drostanolone Enanthate, which should be better known as Masteron Enanthate, is a long ester variant of Drostanolone. Drostanolone Enanthate is an anabolic androgenic steroid first marketed around 1970 under the trade name Masteron (which was Drostanolone Propionate, a short esterified variant of Drostalonone), manufactured by Syntex.

Drostanolone is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), meaning that it is itself a modified form of DHT. There are many anabolic steroids in the family of DHT derivatives, some of which are very well known and very popular (Oxandrolone / Anavar, Stanozolol / Winstrol, Methenolone / Primobolan, etc.).

The reason why DHT derivatives are so popular and useful in the world of bodybuilding and athletics is because they cannot be converted (aromatized) into estrogen. DHT is not recognized in the body as a suitable substrate for the aromatase enzyme, and therefore any hormone derived from DHT takes on the same properties. The only odd exception to this rule would be Anadrol-50 (oxymetholone), which exhibits potent estrogenic effects, but still does not aromatize. On the other hand, no estrogenic effects should be observed with the use of Masteron Enanthate regardless of the dose used. The same is true for all other compounds in the DHT derivative family (except, of course, anadrol).

Drostanolone has relatively normal anabolic and androgenic activity; however, these ratings are somewhat misleading. It is important to remember that DHT, the base of drostanolone, is five times more androgenic than testosterone with a much stronger binding affinity for the androgen receptor. This in turn promotes a harder appearance and may also improve fat loss.
