Info: The chemical name is 19 Nortestosterone. The anabolic steroid can be produced by the human body after heavy and prolonged physical exertion or during pregnancy, and the concentration of its main metabolite 19-norandrosterone should not exceed a few nanograms per ml. It was introduced in 1960. Shortly after, in 1962, it was introduced to the prescription drug market as Deca-Durabolin. However, not many people know that nandrolone existed a few years earlier, in 1957, as a fast-acting ester variant of nandrolone phenylpropionate. But unfortunately, its very short half-life limited its use and required injections at least every other day, and so nandrolone was reinvented as Deca with the decanoate ester attached to it. Nandrolone is one of the most popular anabolic steroids ever developed and has been a staple among performance enhancing athletes of all types since its introduction.

Nandrolone decanoate is a steroid structurally similar to testosterone, minus one carbon atom at the 19th position (hence the name 19-nortestosterone).
