Info: Exemestane is a steroidal aromatase inhibitor (AI), better known as Aromasin.

Exemestane was first marketed in the United States in 2000, after receiving FDA approval a few months earlier in 1999. The primary purpose of its use, as with most AIs, would be to combat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Soon after, AI would gain popularity among anabolic steroid users because of its ability to protect against estrogen-related side effects. This effect is very similar to the older and more popular agents of Arimidex (anastrozole). It would also gain popularity during cycle and post-cycle therapy (PCT) plans among steroid users. It was not the first AI to gain such popularity, but it proved to be somewhat more beneficial than most AIs for this purpose.
